A very known face of Bollywood televisions and films Ashies Roy, featuring in the show “Sasural Simar Ka”, had passed away at around 4 am on November 24 at his Mumbai residence. He has been suffering from a Kidney ailment for a long time, he was undergoing dialysis.He even suffered a paralysis attack in 2019. Amit Behl

During the middle phase of the lockdown in May, the actor was taken to the hospital and admitted to ICU. He has been very unwell throughout the lockdown and was fighting with the severe kidney problem. While in one side he was tackling his health on the other side he was also fighting with financial crisis during lockdown. When he was admitted in the hospital he asked for financial assistance to his well wishers through social media platforms. Ashie’s had said in an interview that he did not have money.

He only had 2 lakh which he had given to the hospital because the bill that was given to him amounted to that much. And at that crucial time he did not even have a single penny with him. Many people have stood up called him and talked with him. At that moment he was just hoping for a minimum help from his closed ones. Because of the pandemic he was kept in a special ward by the hospital authorities.
But this ward is very costly. His dialysis happened in some other floors and it went on for about 4 hours. There are also lots of medicines and injections which are costly as well. After his desperate appeal, filmmakers like Hansal Mehta, Bejoy Nambir and others had reached out to help.
The actor had returned home after getting treated, later telling in an interview, he had led a dignified life all this while. He also added that
he had never thought that he had to see this critical time in his life. he planned to return all the help once the shooting of his TV show commences. He was being himself very much optimistic that once he returned in work everything would be fine. According to reports, his health deteriorated badly over the last few weeks. He was trying hard to fight back the disease but unfortunately he had finished all his struggles at the age of 55 on Tuesday in his Mumbai residence.

Many actors, directors have shown their condolences on Ashies’s death such as Ram Kamal Mukherjee, senior TV actor Tina Ghai.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta tweeted that his friend had gone too soon. He prayed for his soul’s peaceful heavenly rest.
