During Amit Shah’s visit to Bolupar on Sunday, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee raised her voice against the Center. Targeting the Center over IPS deputation, he wrote on Twitter on Sunday that the Center was shamelessly sniffing out-state rights by transferring police officers. He also thanked the Chief Ministers of Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Punjab, and MK Stalin for supporting Bengal.
In today’s tweet, Mamata thanked Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and DMK chief MK Stalin for their support.
The central government has directed to send three IPS officers from the state to the central deputation following the attack on the convoy of BJP all-India president JP Naddar. In a directive issued by the Union Home Ministry on Thursday, South Bengal ADG Rajiv Mishra has been transferred to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Presidency Range DIG Praveen Tripathi to the Border Security Force and Diamond Harbor Superintendent of Police Bholanath Pandey to the Police Research Bureau. According to police, the transfer is punitive.
However, the state government will not release 3 IPS officers in defiance of the Centre’s guidelines, Nabanna said. They claim that the number of IPS officers in the state is low. It will be difficult to run the administration if three officers are sent to the central deputation. And with this, the state has started thinking of going to court. Amit Shah has brought in several Trinamool MLAs, MPs and leaders, including Shuvendu Adhikari. On Saturday, he also said that the face of Bengal will defeat Mamata Banerjee. Sunday was no different. On the basis of the external attack of the Trinamool, this time Amit Shah once again informed, ‘Someone from Bengal will be the Chief Minister. A Bengali will be the Chief Minister. At a press conference after the mega road show in Bolpur, he named the leaders of the Bengal Brigade and said, “The leaders of the BJP in Bengal are enough to defeat Mamata Di.” A Bengali will be the Chief Minister from Bengal.
However, on external issues, Amit Shah taunted Mamata on the day and said, “When Mamata was in the Congress, when Indira Gandhi came, what did she say was external?” Pranab Mukherjee, Narasimha Rao used to say external? This is not the culture of Bengal. Bengal is a very generous land. I think she (Mamata Banerjee) has lost her mind. He has forgotten the definition of a national party. However, on this day, he has again slammed the Mamata government over law and order, industry and employment in the state. Amit Shah said, ‘Mamata Didi, don’t worry, your government will no longer exist. Give us a chance, people of Bengal. We will move forward to make Bengal a golden Bengal again. ‘
According to many, Amit is trying to give a message to the Bangasamaj and the peasantry of the country by eating leaves in the house of a Bengali farmer or Baul. Part of the state BJP leadership alleges that they are trying to create confusion among the Bengalis with their ‘Hindutva’ theory. But there is no conflict between Hindu and Bengali with the BJP’s sense of ‘Hindutva’.
The Trinamool, of course, is sure that the BJP’s ‘external’ leaders will never be able to win the hearts of Bengalis even if they try a thousand times. Party MP Kakli Ghoshdastidar chanted against the BJP today, saying, ‘I saw in a hoarding, a picture of the BJP leader above Rabindranath’s picture! Bengalis will not tolerate this insult.
Trinamool’s sarcasm about splitting the party, ‘BJP has not been able to make a leader in this state even after so many days. That is why the leader has to be borrowed from the orderly party that Mamata Banerjee has formed. They claim that some leaders have illegally made huge sums of money in the name of Mamata. The BJP is trying to lure those leaders into the party.
