Sourav Ganguly Tests COVID Negative, 'Presently Afebrile' After Angioplasty

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly had a mild heart attack yesterday and he spent the night at the hospital. He also had a light diet and is “presently afebrile”. According to the latest update, he was tested negative for COVID-19. On Sunday morning Mr. Ganguly will undergo ECG (electrocardiogram) test also as a part of a routine check-up for health precautions.

Sourav Ganguly underwent angioplasty on Saturday. He rushed to the hospital after severe chest pain, and he took all the medical tests there. Sourav Ganguly was exercising in his treadmill when suddenly he faced trouble and he also suffered chest pain then, then he rushed into hospital soon.

The hospital said according to the test, he had suffered a mild heart attack. Jay Shah, secretary of the BCCI, confirmed that Ganguly was in stable condition. His friends and colleagues have showered prayers for his stable condition and they have also shared their concerns over social media platforms.
