The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will recruit 400 unmarried youths as officers by conducting BE, BTech courses through the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (One). Degrees will be awarded from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after completing a four-year course. The course will start from January 2, 2022. Online application can be made at www.upsc.gov.in till 6 pm on 19th January.
National Defense Academy: Army – 207, Navy – 42, Air Force – 120.
Naval Academy: 30
For admission in the Army branch of the National Defense Academy, one has to pass 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from the State Board.
To be admitted in the Navy and Air Force Wing of National Defense Academy and 10 + 2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy, one has to pass Class XII with Mathematics and Physics.
This year’s higher secondary candidates will also be able to apply conditionally for all the courses.
Date of birth must be between July 2, 2002 to July 1, 2005.
Weight will be adjusted with age and height.
Application fee: 100 rupees.
Candidates will be selected through written, interview and medical examination.
Written test: April 17, 2021.
The written test will be held in two stages. The question will be objective type. Part one will be number 300. Time two and a half hours. Part One will have numbers. Part Two will be the 700 General Ability Test. There will be negative marking.The admission certificate of the examination will be published three weeks before the examination. Admission certificate has to be downloaded from the official website of the Commission www.upsc.gov.in.
