Chennai:- India’s first 3D Printed House built on the renowned campus of the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M). As per the reports, this house was build in an area of 600 square feet with a concrete 3D Printing house. This building was constructed by Tvasta, a deep teach- start-up founded by IIT-M Alumni.
It’s taken five days to build a house through technology against the conventional method of four to six months. The house was developed in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter. While reacting to it, Finance Minister Sitaraman said “said India definitely needs such solutions which do not require much time. Conventional housing requires timing, material, logistics, transporting of material, and so on. But if this technology can produce houses in different locales at five days per house.”
