India Mark 74th Spot In ‘Global Strenzy Index’, After Lockdown In 26 States

However, in such a situation where there is a lockdown in 26 states, data show till April 30, India has reached the 74th position in the ‘Global Stringency Index’. Prior to this, India was in the 58th position in this list released on 1 April.
In such a situation, it is a matter of concern, because the lockdown data in this list has not yet been updated accurately, but when this data is updated, India will move further in this list. According to the information, due to the complete lockdown last year, India was at number 100 in the last week of March in this list.
One side, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Maharashtra among the states that have a complete lockdown. On the other hand, in states like Gujarat, Telangana, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh, there are restrictions, but there is no provision is being followed as a complete lockdown.
