Low-pressure area set to form over North Bay of Bengal


Another Cyclone brewing? A few days after the country witnessed two cyclones,Tauktae and Yaas now the state has to go through another one? The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that another low-pressure area is set to form over the Bay of Bengal around June 11. As per the official statement, over the North Bay of Bengal and neighbouring areas the low pressure will be formed. This climatic change has the potential to turn into a cyclone. However, the IMD said from June 10, the Southwestely winds would also strength over the Arabian Sea, which will lead to the advancement of the southwest monsoon.
The department said that monsoon would advance to the parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by June 11. Meanwhile, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, east UP, and some parts of Gujarat and MP between June 11 and 13.
