BJP’s 5-membered ‘Truth Verification Committee’ is going to Rampurhat


This time the central BJP has formed a five-member committee to look into the Rampurhat incident. BJP’s all India president JP Nadda has formed a five-member ‘truth verification committee’. The members of the committee will go to Bogtui village in Rampurhat of Birbhum next Friday. Their objective will be to collect information from there and submit a report to the central BJP as soon as possible.

BJP State president Sukanta Majumder is one of the members of the committee. Besides him, Bharti Ghosh is also there. There is BJP’s Uttar Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Brajlal. There are Lok Sabha MP Satyapal Singh and Rajya Sabha MP KC Ramamurthy. It is important to mention here that apart from Sukanta Majumder, the other four members of the committee are former IPS officers.

BJP’s state president said he was currently in Delhi but he would will reach Kolkata by Wednesday afternoon. Bharti Ghosh is now in Calcutta. When the other three members of the committee are going to arrive in Kolkata. They will leave for Bogtui in Rampurhat on Friday morning.

BJP has questioned the law and order situation in the state regarding this incident. Meanwhile, BJP has already demanded central intervention in the state from Home Minister Amit Shah over the Rampurhat incident.The state MPs Sukanta Majumder, Dilip Ghosh, Arjun Singh and Raju Bista met the home minister on Tuesday. They approached home minister seeking central intervention in the state. Sukanta later said that the Union Home Ministry had asked the state to report the incident within 72 hours. After that this committee was formed.
