Sonia Gandhi ordered congress to protest against the Bogtui incident

The incident of Bogtui incident in Rampurhat has also received response from the central politics. Congress president Sonia Gandhi spoke to senior West Bengal Congress leader and MP Pradeep Bhattacharya at the Parliament House on Wednesday about this incident. Hearing the details of the incident from Pradeep she instructed him to talk to the party and come forward to protest against it.

After talking to the Sonia Gandhi Pradeep said, “I have informed her that there is an atmosphere of violence currently over in West Bengal. Therefore, it cannot be said with certainty that what happened in Rampurhat will not happen in West Bengal again in the near future.” He added, ”Such a heinous incident has not happened in recent years in any part of the country.”

After hearing the details of the incident from him, Sonia has ordered to speak to the West Bengal Congress leadership and asked them to protest immediately. Although West Bengal Pradesh Congress president Adhir Chowdhury had already announced plans to visit Rampurhat on Thursday.
