Trinamool and BJP MLAs got involved into brawl at Vidhansaba on the last day of the assembly session. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is on a visit to North Bengal, as soon as she got the news, she called the transport minister cum mayor of Kolkata Firhad Hakim to know the situation. They talked for a while. According to sources, Chief Minister wants to know about the incident.
Whether any MLA of the party was injured or not in the incident. Mamata wanted to know whether the Trinamool MLAs brought any action or proposal against the Leader of the Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari for such shameful act. According to sources, Chuchura MLA Asit Majumder was seriously injured in the incident. He was admitted to SSKM Hospital. In addition, other injured TMC legislators were being treated quickly.
Later, talking to the media, Firhad said, “I have informed the Chief Minister about the disgusting incident that the BJP MLAs have caused in the assembly. Such an incident is unprecedented in the history of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The Chief Minister has inquired about the injured MLAs in that incident. Actions will be taken.”
