Petrol diesel prices for the 7th time in just last 8 days!

Seven times in just the last eight days. Petrol and diesel prices are hiked again on Tuesday. The price of petrol has gone up by 83 paise per litre in the recent hike. As a result, the price of petrol in Kolkata has gone up to 109 rupees and 68 paisa per litre. The price of diesel has increased by 70 paise per litre. In Kolkata, the price of diesel is now 94 rupees 62 paise per litre. In the last one week, the price of oil has gone up by 4.80 rupees per litre.

The Ukraine-Russia war caused a sharp rise in international crude oil prices. Its impact has also hit the country’s oil market. Naturally the price has gone up. But despite the Russian-Ukrainian conflict that began on February 24, oil prices in India have begun to rise since the results of the four-state assembly vote. The counting of votes was on March 10. Oil prices have started rising since March 21. Petrol and diesel prices have been rising steadily since then.

The government is not in charge of controlling oil prices so if the price of oil increases in the world market, the price also increases in the country. This is the argument central government has given. But the question of the opposition is, if there is no control of prices in the hands of the central government, then how the prices are stagnant during the elections in different states then? why the prices started to rise after elections? In the meanwhile, the suffering of common people is increasing.
