After Mamata’s phone call, the Governor approves the Finance Bill

After the Chief Minister’s phone call, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar approved the finance bill. He also tweeted that he has received assurances from the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary to settle the remaining debts within seven days.

On Wednesday morning, there was a tension between Nabanna with Raj Bhavan. Because, today, Thursday, the financial year 2021-22 is coming to an end. If the budget for the financial year 2022-23 is not passed, there is a possibility that many issues including salary will get stuck. In this situation, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee dialled a phone call to the Governor from Darjeeling. After talking to the Chief Minister, Governor Signed the bill.

On this day Chief Secretary Harikrishna Dwivedi and Finance Secretary Manoj Pantha visited Raj Bhavan. They also discussed the documents with the governor for about three and a half hours. Although many administrative experts are reporting, the governor may want to know something about the bill but there is no precedent for holding it. Because, it is not possible for the government to get stuck in the financial management in the new year. That would be a rare situation. The Chief Minister also said the same to the Governor.
