Cops find hidden cupboard in Kundra’s office


Ritika Roy, DNI: The crime branch found a secret cupboard in the office of Raj Kundra Vyan and JL Stream, a businessman from Andheri, Mumbai, during a search in a pornography case, ”Mumbai police said.
According to sources, Raj Kundra will soon face charges against him under the Money Laundering and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and the Enforcement Director (ED) may file a case against him under the Act.
Kundra, 45, was arrested by Mumbai police late on July 19 on charges of making pornographic films and was kept in police custody till July 23. There are currently allegations of making pornographic films and publishing them through some apps.
Mumbai police have named Kundra as the main conspirator, who has been charged under sections 420 (fraud), 34 (general purpose), 292, and 293 of the Indian Penal Code (relating to obscene and pornographic advertisements and displays) relevant sections of the IT Act and the Concerned Representation of Women (Prohibited) Act. A court in Mumbai has extended the custody of businessman Kundra till July 27 after hearing his bail apply.
The case was filed in February 2021 at the Crime Branch Mumbai regarding the making and use of pornographic films.
