Counting up to 38,792;624 deaths reported in India’s daily Covid-19 cases


Ritika Roy, DNI: According to the Union Ministry of Health, 33,7992 new Covid-19 and 24 died in India in 24 hours on Wednesday.
The nation’s accumulated count now stands at Rs 3.09 crore and hence the total toll stands at Rs 4,11,408. The country also registered 41,000 recoveries within the same period, taking the present active caseload to 4,29,946 cases.
As compared to Tuesday’s figures 7,000 additional fresh cases were registered on Wednesday. On Tuesday, India reported 31.443, its lowest daily spike in almost four months.
Meanwhile, under the national vaccination drive, quite 38.76 crore vaccine doses are administered in India so far. Of which 37.14 lakh doses receive within the last 24 hours.
Dr. VK Paul, a member of the policy Aayog (health), said the third wave of Covid-19 infection symptoms was already being seen in parts of the world. He added that 3.9 lakh new confirmed cases are being reported around the world every day.
“Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi made it clear that we should not focus on keeping the third wave close rather than discussing when it hits India. The prime minister stated that carelessness at this stage can lead to a massive jump in cases,” said Dr. VK Paul.
